Wireless Sensor Network

panOULU WSN is a network of access points of IP-based Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The network’s access points use IEEE 802.15.4 technology and provide multi-hop half-duplex IP connectivity for low power sensors with the 6LoWPAN protocol stack. The access points installed in 2009 use a 2.4 GHz frequency band. In 2012, the access points are updated to use a frequency band of 868 MHz, which is more suitable for the transfer of the measurement data of low-power sensors.
